The Beast That Will Not Go Away...

My heart is heavy again this evening after learning that my friend Roddy Piper has been diagnosed with cancer. "Hot Rod" will certainly be added to my prayer list, as he prepares to fight the biggest battle of his life.

Tomorrow marks the one month anniversary of the death of my brother "Bubba." His life was stolen away by brain and lung cancer. My wife Dianna begins her pre-op tests tomorrow in preparation for her second fight with breast cancer. She is scheduled for surgery on December 4th. My mom is recovering from recent skin cancer surgery. Cancer is no doubt a beast that that will not go away.

On a happier note, this past Saturday November 25th, marked the third anniversary of my gastric bypass surgery. I lost 240 pounds. There is a God.

Once again, I want to thank all of your for your continued support. Even though my updates are few and far between, I am flabbergasted that several thousand of you from around the world still come here on a daily basis. I appreciate that more than you will ever realize.

God Bless.

My Family Thanks You All

I said... God, I hurt.
And God said... I know.
I said... God I cry a lot.
And God said... that is why I gave you tears.
I said... God, I am so depressed.
And God said... that is why I gave you sunshine.
I said... God, life is hard.
And God said... that is why I gave you loved ones.
I said... God my loved one died.
And God said... so did mine.
I said... it is such a loss.
And God said... I saw mine nailed to the cross.
I said... God your loved one lives.
And God said... so does yours.
I said... where are they now?
And God said... Mine is on my right hand,
And yours is in the light.
I said... God it hurts.
And God said... I know.

On behalf of my family and myself, I would like
to thank you all for the thoughts and prayers
during the past year for my brother.
He doesn't hurt anymore...
